I was just filling up my L3410 when the plastic extension hose from the 5 gallon can slipped of and went into the tank.
I looked through the fill hole and was unable to locate it. My questions for all of you wise individuals are
1. Is it ok to go ahead and run the tractor for a few jobs I have around the farm today?
2. will this eventually float to the top?
3.will it ultimately ( If I don't get it out soon) deteriorate and foul up my filter or injectors?

Any insight would be greatly appreciated

Bummer tractor is totaled.........will take it off your hands for scrap:laughing:

Did the same thing, took a piece of ss wire bent in half so you don't have a sharp end, made it into a hook and went fishin. Got it out fine just be careful not to get caught up in the fuel pickup.

I was trouble shooting a '79 goldwing & found a gas nozzle in the tank. It wasn't the problem & coulda been there for almost 30 years. I used one of those claw picker upper gizmos to fish it out.

As stated above that type of plastic won't break down if it were me I would run it toll fuel level Is down where I could see it and not have to chase it so bad.

owning mostly antique tractors I've found all kinds of things in fuel tanks from dead small animals to various tools rocks.. you name it. I've found it in a 60 yr old tractor gas tank..

I drained the tank on my B-414 gasser last month and found a complete wooden paint stirrer. Tried for over an hour to get it out without breaking it. Gave up and used a shop vac to pick up the pieces. The printing on the stick was like new...and I've owned the tractor 10 years so it's been in there longer than that!

After we got the BX25 we got two of those containers from Home Depot and the spout got stuck in the can. Luckily we noticed it in the parking lot and after about 30 minutes of trying to fish it out we finally took it back to exchange it. Come to think of it, I think there was a problem with the second one...:confused2:
