Don't know of any other profession where one can be wrong 50% of the time and still keep a job.
Yesterday morning the weatherman said it would be a beautiful fall day with highs in the mid 70's and no chance of rain. So it couldn't be a better time to sandblast and prime my "new-to-me" flail mower. There were a few clouds in the sky but that was ok because there was no chance of rain. So the sandblasting and priming went well and everything but the clean-up was finished by 3:00 pm. With lots of self-congratulations I went inside to rest and watch some of the Charlotte race when about 8:00 my daughter came in and said it was raining. At that point there wasn't much to do but try not to express the way I really felt about the weatherman in front of my daughter and her friend.
Guess I got lucky overall as the primer was relatively dry, only a couple of small places that trapped some water failed and let some rust begin. I think a little sanding and the second coat of primer will take care of the problem.
This morning the weatherman said: "well we were surprised and didn't expect the low off the coast to bring rain this far west."
Dang weatherman!!!
