Although I'm no expert on wildlife I do a lot of reading and research about the the subject because I enjoy it. These pictures impressed me. These were emailed to us by a friend. I can't confirm their authenticity.

Apparently true, but in Italy. according to snopes

snopes.com: Buffalo Bill Dam

Thanks. I appreciate the snopes link. The email that came that these pictures said these were Big Horn Sheep at Buffalo Bill Dam. Again, I'm no expert on wildlife, but I knew these weren't Big Horn Sheep.

What do they do when they get to the top? Looks like an overhang--hard to climb.

I'm betting that, slightly out of the picture, is a pile of dead goats near the bottom.;) There has simply got to be a certain number that misstep, either on the way up or the way down. Wonder what prompts them to do this?

They lick the minerals they need to survive on their diet.

I have seen wildlife film from Spain showing a large eagle knocking mountain goats off cliff sides. Big birds, about the size of a golden eagle. The eagle knows the goat is too heavy to lift, but also has figured out they can get lunch by killing them from the fall.

If it is legit, it's pretty amazing. Was wondering what the failure rate is to.
