i thought about getting a sun shade for my DK55 but they don't give much if hit by tree limbs and are pricey, so i just went to walmart and got a big cowboy hat. whole lot cheaper.

You must be brimming with glee....
How 'bout getting a helmet ala Dark Helmet in Space Balls.....:D

No parts store has 2 part ABS epoxy in anything larger than little tubes. I have a hole the size of a baseball, and I guess I'm going to have to roughen it up and use tiger hair and filler. I might as well beef up the whole back side.

Not sure where I saw it but someone suggested having one built of sheet metal by a shop that does metal work. Bending and such. You have a frame. Galvanize steel might work fine, think the factory unit my brother has is diamond tread aluminum. It may bend and has but that is it. It is about an 1/8 inch thick.

Yep, a very informative and Christmassy site. Did you see this US Plastics plastic welder I linked to earlier in this thread?? That's a pretty one.

BTW - here's a link to the Model 1000ADP portable Mig welder I have. It's great for in-field repairs, or for those of us without garages!Readywelder.com | There's nothing like it!

Yes, I've seen the Readywelders. Looks like they have upgraded the line recently too. I am never that far from 110/220 and I own an underutilized Miller Passport so I cannot justify a battery powered MIG but they are nice tools.

Yep, there's nothing like being able to weld 3/4in steel or aluminum with a 100% duty cycle on a piece of equiplment broken down in the middle of a farm field 1/2 mile from any electric. But.....I'd rather weld in a shop.
