I've got a Cat D2 that dates back to around 1949. It's in excellent condition and only has around 1700 actual hours. The problem is that it's spent most of the last 30 years parked in a barn. It's got a dry clutch which I replaced back in 1980 because the pressure plates were rusted and pitted. Now the steering clutches are stuck and there doesn't seem to be any spring action in the levers. Any ideas on how to free them would be appreciated. Thanks

Jack, try a post on ibdozing.com. They deal with the older construction equipment. But they are not as near as talkative as this bunch... I do wish I could find a dozer group like this one...
