I'm putting together a proposal for a vineyard installation, which is on a south facing hillside. I'm going to need to cut bench terraces to make spraying feasible with a narrow track tractor (Kubota BX2660). Slope is in the neighborhood of 20%, soil is freshly disked and it's gonna rain for 4 months, till I do the work in April.
Terraces are going to be ~500ft long and span a 120 ft slope, probably will be at 8' pitch, to give 6' of near flat room for vines and tractor. (We currently have flat vineyard at 6' row-row with this machine)
Question is whether the BX2660 can handle cutting in the terraces, with a back blade rotated and tilted to cut in and move dirt from inside to outside, or should I just go and rent a D4?
