Installed Curtis cab and heater this year on L3200 like it a lot my problem is the heater worked once. That was after about a good hour of idling and using. It seems tractor takes a very long time to heat up and open the thermostat is what i am guessing. Has anyone changed thermostat or something else to help. Most of the time snow removal takes hour or so sometimes out
hose gets warm put not hot enough to put out heat. And did have a problem with air lock which i guess is fixed since it worked once. Thanks

put the heater on the floor then fill the hoses hook it up then run with the heater down. then put it back up

The heater that I installed several years ago on a B1700 needed several 'bleeds' before I got all the air out. I used to loosen the clamp on the hose attached to the return side of the heater (highest point) until only coolant seeped out. Like I said it took more than one....Then again.....maybe your thermostat is stuck open.

B7800 engines run cool unless they are working hard. I couldn't get much heat in the cab, so I changed the thermostat - no difference. So next I removed the radiator screen and replaced it with a piece of corrugated plastic sign board with a 6" x 6" hole cut in the centre of it. That worked, but I still don't get really hot air from the cab heater unless I am pushing the tractor hard on the snow blower - that's when it gets hot in the cab. This reflects the temperature gauge reading - it rarely gets above cool. In fact, the only time the needle approached the upper end of the gauge was when I started bush cutting in the spring and I forgot to remove the plastic from in front of the radiator. L3200 may be the same.
