Hi everyone. I had my Ford 3000 stuck in 4th gear today while working on my road. When I got back to my shop, I took the shift plate off and slid the gear back to neutral. Looking at the end of the shift lever, it's round with flat sides. The High/low shifter is round. I was wondering if anyone here knows if the lever is stock this way or has is worn down to the flat edges. It only gets stuck in 4th gear. It's an 8 forward and two reverse transmission. Thank Matt

I believe it is the normal shape. I have seen a lot of shift levers designed that way. It may be worn some but I think the sides are supposed to be flat.

Hi Bill. Thanks for the reply. I had a feeling that it was made that way. If it had worn that way, it did it very uniform and semetrically. Just thought i would ask. I think I'll just stay out of 4th gear and call it good. Thanks Matt
