Cultipacker wheels

I see here that a lot of builders use end bearings/pill blocks for the end shafts that the Cultipacker wheels are on and most of the Cultipacker wheels are meant to roll on a stationary shaft. Example is the wheels you get at Agri supply are designed to spin on a 1 3/4 shaft so the shaft does not have to be on bearings.
Am I missing something?? because I am going to build a 5.5 foot one using the agri supply wheels

The shaft spins to reduce the wear. It also helps when turning. Good luck with the project!!
