eBay/Craigslist Cub on Ebay???

Is it just me or does this listing: 05 Cub Cadet 6284 Compact Tractor mower, tiller, bucket on eBay Tractors Farm Machinery, Agriculture Forestry, Business Industrial look a little...odd? I mean this is a 6284 tractor that retails for $13k and it has an FEL and a tiller. It only has 62 hours on it. Is it just me or does this appear to be a deal too good to be true. It has a $3200 buy it now. That is about $1000 less than my GT2550 cost me. What gives?

What give is.... you send them money and they will have the tractor shipped to you.. You wait... you wait.. you wait... and it never appears..

Note where it will ship - to N and S american and europe, sound suspicious to me..

Like the old saying - If it sounds to good to be true, it isnt..

It looks very strange. The current high bid is $1530 but if you look at the bid history, there are 12 withdrawn bids, some in the $3000 range,1 for $102,030 and 1 for $99,999,999.99 and the reason given for all is that the item is no longer for sale.

Yeah, it smelled to me as well. Someone likely had their ebay ID stolen. Jerks. I sent a question asking to see the tractor a couple of hours ago, and haven't received a reply.

I sent a note to eBay support telling them it looks fraudulent. Lets see if they pull it.

And heck, I was all ready to do the Buy it Now for $3500.

It is a copy (fraudulent) of a real listing from about a month ago (check item number 280127439673) that I bid on. The "location" in the description didn't match the location in the main listing. I alos won a JD 4010 (sorry cc'ers) that turned out to be a fake. Thankfully I did not send payment. It turned out this one was copied off Tractorhouse.com. Beware of any that appear too good to be true...they usually are.

I bid on a Cub garden tractor that was in my area (Akron).
I was outbid and the next day the same tractoe was on Ebay for sale in Australia, there are so many scams on the net.

I sent the fraud division an email and it was gone the next day.

How about all the emails you get phishing for banking info, or is that just me?

There was a historically a period in some states when prison time was augmented with corporal punishment.

If we applied the same today it might not reduce crime. However I for one believe that real punishment instead of just "time out" would make some would be criminals think twice.

Geez...Now this guy has about 8 multiple listings on the same 7000 series tractor. Item location; London. Right. You have to e-mail him at an address outside of E-bay prior to bidding or he will cancle your bid. Rickie, I'm with ya man. I just hope someone who thinks about bidding realizes this smells to high heaven.

I'm sorry, but you can't punish someone just because they committed a crime. It probably wasn't their fault.

Their mommy was probably mean to them when they were young.
Their girlfriend probably got hit by a car or their dog ran off with another guy, you just don't know....
