I have a Cub Cadet SC2400, and just purchased a King Kutter 48" XB Rotary Tiller. Has anyone with used these two together?
The King Kutter instructions explain that the drive shaft may need to be shortened, but when I layout where I would need to cut the shaft I would only be left with 3" of overlap. The instructions said I need 6" overlap and a call to King Kutter tech support stated I can get away with 5", but not 3". When hooked up, I only have 20.5" between PTO shafts.
I was not impressed with KK tech support. The tech was very condescending and treated me as if I was a hassle. He said it should work on a SC2400, and he walked me through how to measure, which I had done correctly before calling, but I came up with the same problem. So he just told me I would have to haul it back and return it.
Seems like the King Kutter is a popular brand, so I am surprised I don't see others with this issue when I do a quick google search, which leads me to think I might be doing something wrong. Any ideas?
