I just changed the hydrostatic belt and the idler pulley on my mower today,its improved the hydro steering the left side has got weak before this ,my idler spring looks to be stretched out, will changing this spring help?before i changed the parts it would hardly go forward only tight side in reverse, help and suggestions would be a great help.

If it looks deformed, replace it. That belt is doing a lot of work. Welcome to the forum!
