Buying Advice Cub Cadet 5252 diesel for $3000?

Guys -

I'm not a huge CC fan (had a zero turn once that had some cheap qualities) but there's one on ebay... 5252 DIESEL with very low hours, no attachments with it (bare bones). I'm looking to use it as a mower so don't need 4wd or a loader. I'd have to add a mmm. Would also use it with a 4ft bush hog. Here are my questions:
1 - are these good machines for what I need?
2 - roughly how much is it worth? If it was a JD it would easily go for over $7000, but then again it's not a JD.
