Cub Cadet 2042 oil drain fitting

Has anyone modified the original oil drain fitting on the cub cadet 2042

I realize there is limited space, but the original design is a joke.

I am considering replacing the fitting with either a plain old oil drain plug or trying to retro fit a fitting with an elbow and drain plug.

Any ideas?

That's perfect.
My Son and I will make that a Fall Yankee project prior to winterizing and putting the Cub Cadet away for another cold New Hampshire winter
