cub cadet 1529 pto won't engage hot

I am new to this forum. Any help is appreciated. I have a 8 year old 1529 with the 46 inch deck that the PTO engages when cool or cold. After running it a while in warmish weather it will not re engage after it is turned off. It will work after cooling for a hour or so. What do you think the problem could be? Thanks for your help. if it's an electrical type:
an elect pto that is just marginally engaging will lose some "woomph" when it warms up... ck yer owner's manual - that particular machine may be equipped with an adjustable pto air gap & adj instructions s/b in the doc...

If it's a manual pto, look for stretched belts, faulty idler pulleys, etc... again, may find some help in the manual.

I hope I have attached a blurb from my 2084 cub cadet manual. It suggest the air gap should be .015". Different machine but I would expect the adjustment to be similiar.
