Cub Cadet 1250 starting issues.

I have a Cub Cadet 1250 that will not start. I checked the battery out, and it is fine. the starter solenoid clicks when starting, so i changed it. That did nothing to help. I was looking at everything, and the coil was very hot. Could it be the coil or maybe something else?

When you say it does not start, do you mean it will not turn over?
1.Remove the spark plug.
2.Jump the starter to see if it turns over/engine cranks
3.If nothing happens with jumping the starter, then see if you can manually turn the crank shaft. If it is stuck, the engine has a major problem such as a thrown rod etc.
4.If it turns over with the starter jumped, then check to see if the ignition coil is giving spark.
