CT335 with cab,brackets ?

I have a CT335 with cab. On the rear cab at the top of the vertical supports there are two brackets. One on each side. What is the purpose of them. I also have the 8TB backhoe and on the seat post where it attaches, there are a couple of small attachment holes there and I have no idea what purpose they serve.

The brackets on the cab sound like mounting spots for lights to me. I cab instructions said to relocate the turn signal lights to that location so you could see it from both directions. I chose not to do that because they would surely get knocked off as I drive through the woods a lot.
As far as the backhoe could it be a optional location for mounting it as a three point?
