Hey all. Doing a little brush clearing last night with a grapple and suddenly my loader stopped lifting. The loader was about midway through travel when I noticed it, so I unloaded the grapple and pulled to a flat area.

The loader would lower fine, but wouldn't go up. The loader is now all the way at the bottom of the travel, and when I move the handle to lift I can hear the load on the pump and it will move maybe a quarter inch up but that's it.

If I curl the grapple down and lift the front wheels it still won't lift past that spot (i figured the gravity assist would let the loader 'lift' to allow the wheels to touch down).

I cannot see any damage, the valves look fine, no leaks. Everything looks perfectly normal.

Any suggestions?

I swapped the lines out of the valve body and the issue is now on the downstroke. It will strain and go very slowly but it does go down. If I raise it a couple of feet and put it in float it takes ~10 seconds to touch the ground.

Anything I can do here or just valve service time?

Might try swapping curl and lift hoses to verify whether control valve or cylinders are faulty. Sounds like control valve to me.

I'm thinking along the same lines but didn't think to move it to the curl side. Will try that tomorrow. Thanks for the suggestion!

There is a one way restriction in one of the cylinder circuits. Two most probable causes of this are 1. One of couplers has partially disconnected. or 2. Poppet misalignment in a coupler. Since you have already removed the male couplers and connected to opposite female and symptom moved to other direction you have eliminated partially disconnected coupler. Remove both hoses, male couplers and look in the end of the female to see if the poppet is centered not cocked to the side.

I would ck for a partially disconnected line. Looks like it is on,but is not seated like the rest.

Thanks for the suggestions folks. SSdoxie, i got super stoked because the poppet on the outboard line was way off center. I centered it with a screwdriver and hooked things back up, but unfortunately it's still running very slowly. Unfortunately I've had little daylight to look at it further. Bobcat is going to do a field visit on Friday, will take another look tomorrow, thanks everybody!

Quick update. Bobcat service came out to take a look. Swapped couplers and the problem followed the coupler. Replaced it and we're up and running.

I still have the coupler and will try to figure out what the problem is just out of curiosity.

Thanks again for all of the advice!
