Battery has decided to start leaking on my 2011 model. Anyone replace with a non bobcat brand, if so what?

I have a Kioti, changed mine with standard HD auto batt fron Canadian Tire. I am sure any brand would do. Also changed batt terminal clamps to match N/A post sizes as OEM ones seemed to glaze over causing problems, (high resistance contact).

The original battery is Group 24 / 600 CCA (cold cranking amp). Group size is universal for battery industry, any group 24 battery will fit in the box. Should stay with minimum 600 CCA but higher Amp rating doesn't hurt, just costs more. From there you have decision of going with normal maintenance, low maintenance, or maintenance free styles.

As this seems to be a common issue, has anyone measured the voltage across the alterantor as a possible culprit for overcharging?

A great replacement is an AGM glassmat dry cell but expensive.

talked to the dealer there are no known issues, as always right, he said what lockport mentioned above which was to bring it in and make sure the alternator is not bad. Fine by me if there were not so many folks with a bad battery....

I had a battery issue recently on my ct122. A leak turned my terminals black and corroded the terminal ends. Dealer replaced both the positive cable and the battery under warranty.

I used the sears sealed battery. My original battery leaked and made a mess.
