cruise control on 16xx hydros ?

How does the cruise control work on 16xx series w/hydo?

Kubota L-series has a lever hooked to the forward pedal, feels like a mechanical linkage. You can move the lever infinitely up or down to adjust the speed, or back it off all the way to stop. I like that.

Kiotis I looked at just have a electric button that locks cruise to where the pedal is when you push the button. Don't like that so much. thanks

Hi. I own a 1643 HST. The cruise control is simple. Will only work while going forward. You push your forward pedal to the selected speed and lift your cruise control arm. This arm will put a certain pressure to the linkage and will hold the pedal where it is. To release or you pull back the arm and the pedal will return to zero that will slow the tractor fast or easier you put your feet on the pedal where it is and then release the cruise arm free and control your slowing speed. If you push the brake pedal it will also cancel the cruise control. Simple but works great. You will LOVE those Massey 1600 serie. Good luck .Roger
