Cruise Control for JD 2210

I have a JD 2210. I wish it had cuise control on it, but it doesn't. And JD doesn't offer it as an option. Is there any after market cruise controls that would work on this hydrostatic transmission?

I have a 4300 jd with Cruise that did not work when delivered. I took it apart to learn that the system consists of a switch on the dash, a magnet and a bracket that holds the magnet in place below the foot pedal. When you turn the switch to the on position it electrifies the magnet and holds the foot pedal in place. It seems that you can buy the individual parts and install them on any tractor where the foot pedal side is accessible to the magnet. Take a look at the sysytem at your dealer and see how it is set up. Good luck

How does it shut off when you hit the pedal?

Very good question Hambone: I never shut off my cruise hitting the pedal because the tractor comes to a very abrupt stop. I always place my foot onto the pedal and turn off the Cruise switch by hand. Then I slowly lift my foot and allow the tractor to come to stop. When properly installed there must be a connection between the switch and the brake pedal.

I also have a JD335 with cruise. If you hit either on the foot pedals, forward or reverse, the cruise will kick off. I don't think I have ever kicked the cruise off by hand.
