Have for a couple of yrs. craftsman, 29 cc,4 stroke weed wacker.
If I need to wack, job is done in 51/2 hrs.
Maintenance done so far
Very regular oil change. Keep air filter clean(soap/water), little foam spray, flipped the fuel filter out of gas tank, cleaned it with carb cleaner and blew it out, cleaned carb with carb cleaner, spark plug cleaned with brush and lighter, gap around 30, cleaned top off crank with carb cleaner (so took spark plug out and pulled on cord, lots of debris, of course this will make it smoke, make spark plug wet, but after cleaning spark plug again it was working good). Blew the gas cap out.
I live in Co. Weed wack before 9 am.With the hot temperatures and after doing all this maintenance it still was running irregular, or just stopped after 1/2 hr. Although fuel lines were still ok I thought this could be vapor lock.
Since the little gas tank sits right nxt to engine this had to be it! So I a teaspoon of Coleman fuel combustible lamp in the gas tank ( runs clean, but little heavier fluid), with 91 octane gas. I moved the gas tank with heat shield to the top of the plastic cover and attached this with metal wire on the cover. The fuel lines are no not even near the engine. I wacked just now for an hour and it seems to do fine. Hopefully this helps you!
