I bought the mower in Houston from a B&S service center who had completely gone thru the mower. It ran great until I hauled it to Arkansas before hurricane Harvey wiped out everything. Since arriving here, it will not run. I can start it with starting fluid, but gas is not getting to the carb, it does come out of the filter. I'm a slightly mechanically inclined female, doing basics on my tractor, car and mowers, but need some help with this. I'm wondering if something jiggled loose on the trip, because my smaller mower also will not run now without the choke out all the way and a couple of other things, yet it was used for mowing the day I loaded it.

Any suggestions will be appreciated. 20180524_135412-1-432x243.jpeg20180524_135427-1024x576.jpeg

So, let me try and give this a shot. I had the same problem with my mower a few years ago. It was a 24hp Kohler. I went through the whole fuel system. If you are getting fuel to the filter, then I would have to say disconnect the line from the filter to the pump, and see if you are getting fuel to the fuel pump. If you are getting fuel to the pump, then disconnect the other side of the pump to see if its pumping out in "spurts". If so, then we are getting fuel to the Carb. IF you are able to tell if you are getting fuel to the carb, then I would recommend taking down the carb to see if all the parts are still in operating condition. i.e. the float and the pin, etc. Hope this helps!

There is a small solenoid below the carburetor, which when there is no power- stops fuel from heading up the stem into the venturi. When the switch is turned on, you should hear that solenoid click- or feel it actuate.

No fuel in the line that I guess goes to the pump, there is fuel out of the filter. It's been raining here, so I'll try dinking with it this weekend, I wasn't sure if that is a fuel pump that the hose from the fuel filter connects to?

From the gas filter, the line you show goes to the fuel pump. So, if there is fuel out of the filter, then it would suggest that there is fuel going to that pump. I would suggest that you disconnect the fuel line from the tank to the filter. Then, you can determine if you are getting a forced flow of fuel. If that works, then remove the line from the filter, and if there is also a good force of fuel from the filter, then you have fuel going to that pump. The pump will spit fuel when you crank the motor if its operational and receiving fuel. If you are successful to that point, then I would suggest you follow tomplum and determine if the small solenoid below the carburetor is clicking when you engage the key switch.

No fuel going to the pump, it is coming out of the filter, but not thru that hose to the pump
