I own a xg3032H that now has a cracked engine block. This tractor has only 620hrs on it. Dealer says its caused by stress to front loader and possibly hitting bottom of tractor. This tractor is used on our 10acres property for moving dirt, drain rock, downed trees, brush hogging and grading of driveway. Not terribly heavy duty work. Anyone have any input this seems like a major problem on such a low hour tractor

Where's the crack? Pics?

Sounds kinda odd that the block would crack from using the FEL and whatnot. I know that the engine, on some of these tractors, are apart of the frame, and I've seen photos of cracked frames, but this is the first that I've heard of a cracked block.

How did you find it?
Where is it cracked?

I abuse the crap out of my tractor. A cracked block would not be a good thing. Especially in winter, where I really rely on my tractor to clear the snow.

Is you tractor still under warranty?

Yes it does sound odd that a tractor gettting regular use would have a cracked block. Especially from hitting the bottom or stressing the front loader

Putting blame on something without looking at it first.... that's not a great sign moving forward.

IF it was stress from the FEL.... ummm isn't the FEL made by the same company?

Kinda weird - smelling like a lemon maybe.

Saw engine all tore apart on Yanmar dealer workbench last year, they told me it was a cracked block and Yanmar was covering it. I have no idea how old it might have been because all I saw was the engine in a million pieces.

There was an issue with the XG3025's a few years ago. The blocks were cracking below the main crank bearings. Apparently the loaders were causing the issue "tweaking" the frame (which the engine is part of). Some tractors had the engines replaced after the block cracked, others that were not affected to the point of cracking the block had shims installed.

I just think this is odd because the engine has rubber engine mounts, designed specifically to isolate it from vibrations, and to localize its vibrations too....

NOT on the XG30xx series. The engine is 'part of the front frame'. The engine sits between 2 frame rails and is bolted directly to those rails.

The MT1 series (122 & 125) do have rubber isolation motor mounts and are independent of the frame.
