Ford 545C
I have a 545C that I've posted about before. I've been off of the forum for a while, but I'm trying to get back into working on the tractor and finish up some work on it.

The tractor has an aftermarket cab on it, and it is short of room to work. I need to take off the cowling so I can get to the linkages for the throttle and so I can check on some of the warning lights, etc. I just have no idea how to proceed to get the stupid thing off. Does anyone have a guide? The service manuals don't go into detail on how to get it off.

Well, it sounds to me that the cab front is over the cowl. This, or the cab completely, would have to be removed.
Normally, without the cab, the engine hood has to come off, then access to the cowl is allowed. Steering wheel will have to be removed if you want to remove the cowl completely.

I can take the engine hood off. However, the cowling is made of three parts. the upper half, and two lower panels. How do you remove the lower panel? The left lower panel is missing, and the right lower panel is what I need to also remove. Are they bolted into the firewall?
