Yeah, I've done an Easter long weekend ride up the Gippsland Highlands... rode the whole time in jodhpurs, chapettes and, most importantly, tight silk undies (had to buy those special at Myers ). Also, every morning before mounting up, I'd go through a thorough set of leg, torso & upper arm stretches. Riding is full-body exercise.

I was fine for the weekend. The other blokes... not so well.

I used to do "endurance" rides. 50-75 miles in one outing, not uncommon. Probably nothing compared to your trips.

Walking afterwards, one could "feel" it.
