Could this be a Coyote..... Kioti sign???

OK, go ahead and call me crazy, I've been called worse! I've been a hunter for most of my life, and a tractor owner/operator for the last 10 or so. I've been pricing and researching and have already owned two John Deere's. Just ordered the Kioti NX6010 HST. Had some reservations, but decided that I liked all that I found out about their business model, service and the way they are seeking new innovations.... Then something happened this morning... Could it be a sign....

I've hunted coyotes on/off for my whole life. I've never harvested one. Had a few missed chances but no Coyote. I've been out with friends that run dogs. I've Used mouth calls and electronic calls. This morning one presents itself out in my back field! Broke out the .22-250, and there it was, my first Coyote. It was beautiful with a full and thick winter fur..

So...... do you believe in omens, or weird signs???? Just sayin!!!!!!!!

Yes, I've eaten a lot of "stuff". Coyote, skunk, badger, porcupine, ground hog, mountain lion etc, etc - - there was, for many,many years - - a sportsmans annual wild game feed in a small town near here. I say I eaten - more like tasted. Most all are tough, chewy and pretty bland. Most all were smoked and then cooked on top of that so not a chance of transmission of any wild parasites, etc.

I learned from tasting all those wild things - if I ever get stranded in the wild I'm going to be looking for a plain old mooo cow!!!!

Outdoor Life published a great cookbook for everything that runs, swims, crawls or flies.
It maybe an omen. Didn't work out so good for the Coyote.

That might be dangerous for the dog, Eric. Coyotes can lure dogs back to a pack and kill them. I've taught our dogs to be wary and bark to keep them away.

When our present dog was young there were three separate times I heard a commotion in the pasture and found she and a coyote "playing". Each time I yelled like a banshee and pretended to run after the coyote. Even now 11 years later I carry on and pretend to make threats when we hear the coyotes, which is about every night except in summer. It's a big game and she feels like we are keeping them away. She is not an aggressive dog at all, but she does bark to warn everything to stay away. Unlike neighbours who don't have dogs or dogs that warn game away, we have virtually no problems with coyotes, bears, or deer.

Neighbor lost a Black Lab to a Coyote last summer. It started out playing and wandered out and a pack got him and ran with it.
