Please excuse this newbie question, but we recently purchased a Mitsubishi D1600 and it seems hard to find info on the tractor. Could someone explain this part to me? View attachment 401467
I'm not sure why the pic will not attach, but the part I'm speaking of is on a Mitsubishi D1600 Tractor. It is on the left side of the dashboard and it is a 2" X 2" black square with a small red knob in the middle of it. The knob can be screwed in and out but I have no idea what it does. Anyone?
I watched the video and, no, it is not the horn. The horn button is on the lower right of the dash. This part is on the lower left. The knob unscrews and pulls out about 1/2" on a copper stem. It looks like every wire under the dash runs to it. I saw a pic of another identical tractor that had this part removed. My tractor is a D1600 II.
On my MT180D that is the fuse box location and the knob is what holds the cover in place.
The video posted is very similar to the MT180D suggesting that the basic models are pretty close in design.
My factory manual includes many little variances in order to comply with different country regulations but always the basics remain same.
