I have an RTV500. I recommend Turf Tires over the smaller standard tires. Turf Tires add lateral stability on slopes.
I have never been "stuck" in my RTV500 and I pull a MUTS trailer most of the time. The RTV500 is a workhorse descended from a tractor.
The HST transmission is RTV500's best feature.
There are five shock adjustment slots. Shocks arrive set in middle Position #3. The softest position provides a far more comfortable ride. Ask the dealer to re-set the shocks. Adjustment can be moved in five minutes on both sides WHEN YOU KNOW HOW IT IS DONE.
Also, the hole where a drawbar is inserted and pinned in is short. Ask the dealer to cut your drawbar to appropriate length if you intend to tow.
I also like the tough, factory roof. I work in the woods and have twice had 40 pound debris fall out of trees and hit the roof.
I paid $10,000 in February 2010, with Turf Tires and roof, including sales tax.
Tractors sell seasonably. Because many Utility Vehicles are sold to hunters I think sales are relatively steady throughout the year.
