I just changed the front axle oil and transmission fluid in my F13D. I noticed when checking the fluid levels that both dip stick lower ends had been broken off to achieve the desired lenght. At least each was ground smooth to make the job look a little better. I have read on this site where often other dip sticks are used by some reconditioners when the correct ones either aren't handy or can't be found. This makes me a little suspicious as to the correctness.

My question, does anybody know the correct length of each? Mine are as follows: (Note, total length starts where the bottom of the cap fits snug to the housing, measured to the end of the stick)
Front Axle:
Total Length = 2 and 11/16's inches
XX Fluid level mark, bottom of stick = 7/16's of an inch

Transmission
Total Length = 7 and 1/4 inch
XX Fluid level mark, bottom of stick = 9/16's of an inch

Looking in the front axle, the fluid level covers about 1/2 of the axle, and it is hard to describe the transmission case level.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
