My tractor (TC33DA) is leaking coolant out of what appears to be a drain plug right above the oil filter. It is leaking where the thing screws into the block. I am hopping that all I have to do is take it out and put something on the threads. Has anyone had this problem?
Thanks,
Paul

It happened to me and many others. It's more of a "when" as opposed to "if" problem. It can be quite hard to get the plug out. It's very soft metal. I made a slotted socket but the drain fitting just sheared off. I then used a regular socket in an impact wrench and just barely got it out without rounding off the flats on the hex. I then replaced mine with a brass plug (and of course used paste pipe-thread compound) and got rid of the factory's stupid drain setup. You can't flush the block through the tiny hole anyway. Now I know I can get it out if I need to. Best of luck.
