Converting lawn tractor attachment to 3PT

Anyone ever convert lawn tractor attachments to 3 point equipment. I have a dethacher and plug aerator for my ccraftsman lawn tractor. Anyone ever hear of attaching bars to use it with a 3point hitch. I have a BX. Worth it or not?

I would think a standard 3pt tractor draw bar would work.

PTO Drawbar — Category 3, 38in. Length | 3-Point Hitch Accessories | Northern Tool + Equipment

Just use one of the drawbar holes and tow the attachments like you did with the lawn tractor.

It can be done, I built a frame to hook to the 3 pt and modified a dethacher and core areator to quick attach to the frame. It works good, but you have to only go in straight lines with the core areator. I will attach some pictures.

Yep, I did the same as Harleyscooter (not as purty as his), but yeah.

Depends on how handy you are in the workshop I guess. You can remove the draw bar from your aerator and dethatcher and adapt a 3pt hitch to carry the implements. My Aerator was a standard Northern Tool 48" unit. Took about 1.5 hours to modify to suit the 3pt lift.
Boy does it make it a lot more managable to use the aerator on the 3pt... I wish I did it a long time ago...

Ditto on the straight lines recommendation above. You have to lift the aerator to turn. You can make gradual turns but only slight before you start to hear groaning from the implement. Wouldnt recommend trying to turn too often when it is engaged...

looks like the same stuff i have. Think it's agri-fab or something like that. I figured it would work well with the BX. I'll take a closer look tomorrow.

It looks like that particular company has a front mount, but the name having Z-Turn in it makes me think it's more designed for a zero turn mower. However, I did a Google search on "Front Mount Dethatcher" and a number of hits come up. Here is one that looks like it would bolt to the front, hard to say if existing holes would mate up or if you'd have to drill some new holes...
