Price Check Considering John Deere 5085E.

Went and looked at kubotas and John Deere today. I have forty acres of hay pasture that I live on, and 10-20 head of cattle. Tractor will be used to transport round bales, spray pasture, spread manure, maintain roads, clean brush with grapple, and help out with neighbors(cousins) 400 head cattle operation when he needs a hand. Don't really need 85 horse but after looking at the 75 horse jd and 70 kubotas...the 85 hp in both brands seems to be a major step up in overall tractor and toughness. Kubota dealer quoted me 56 k. John Deere quoted me 55k. Both tractors with cab, loaders, and dual remotes. John Deere also had third function on loader. Both very nice tractors. Leaning heavily towards John Deere. Do these prices sound about right? Both dealers are about fifteen miles, and have good reputations.

Third function on the loader means a Grapple ! or a hydraulic post hole digger .. Yeah !!

Yes I will keep the international for mowing under the trees and light garden work....and I take it to my parents house to mow and till their garden.
