Branson 4225h, Mahindra 2516, several Toro Wheel Horse 522xi machines.
In our small sunflower growing business we have used Bobcat CT230 and CT235 tractors.

Our business is expanding and we are now thinking about adding another tractor. The positive comments about LS tractors and their affordability have gotten my attention.

Am I correct that the "G" series LS tractors would be similar in frame size to the Bobcat "CT" series? We want another 30 - 35 HP, Hydro machine with loader.

There are two dealers within 90 minutes of me and in the next week or two I'll be going on my first scouting mission to see what these LS machines are all about. Your
comments will help me quickly zero in on the model(s) that would be closest in size to our Bobcats.

Thanks.

Good luck with your tractor search;I am interested in growing sun-flowers as food plots and a local fellow wants me to plant an acre for his bees.Any tips on purchasing seed(2 acres) and if they need fertilizer ect.
I have planted "bird seed" for a couple years but it produces no seed ,just a stalk and a small flower..I have purchased the small packs for my garden and they grow fine, looking to buy in bulk. thanks

The G Series are considered their "economy" models. But yes, they will be similar in size to your Bobcats.

Take a look at the website ---- pretty good information there. Then you'll be all prepped for your shopping trip.

I would strongly suggest that if you are looking at the G series.... to look very close at the R3039. Its not much bigger in size (like 2-3 inches in any direction if that) but the additional features are worth double the cost increase. Some of them you wont know how much you 'miss' them until you dont have them!

Looking at the specs on the CT235 and comparing them to the R3039, you would have about the same tractor. It does look like you would gain some capacity in the loader (lift height, and weight), although I am not sure how much on the weight, because the CT is rated at 500mm from pivot pin - whereas the R is rated at the pin.

I do see, if you were to get a G series, you would likely lose some of the features you are used to, like Suspension seat, and Ergonomic Joystick on the loader.

Hope this helps...

Another vote for the R3039H. It's barely larger, but has a pretty big jump in capability, and it's not much more expensive. R,
