I have pics on my phone which I can upload. The only hitch that I can't attach is the top one. They don't line up. Bottom hitches connect on the quick hitch just fine. Should I take the JD quick hitch off or work with a welder? I just fear of a crappy job.

My goal getting the pto BearCat sc5540 to connect to my JD 2720 by Quick hitch and look good. I live in Northern Indiana btw. thanks!

I've got a Woods 5000 Chipper/Shredder which is the same as the Bearcat SC5540 (Bearcat makes them for Woods, Woods just rebadges and renames).
The Woods website actually states the 5000 is not QH compatable.
I haven't tried to rig mine with the QH yet, so I cannot attest to not fitting. However, the PTO driveline for the Woods chipper is pretty short and that extra 3-4 inches required (with the QH) would require a new driveline.
BTW, although my driveline is pretty short, it may actually be due to the previous owner's trimming it to fit his old Ford 8N.

Anyway, if I were you, I'd remove the QH and rig the chipper/shredder directly to the 3PH...at least until you figure out what you want to modify. Just watch the driveline length! The attached picture of the Bearcat shows a pretty short driveline too.

Like Roy said, watch out for the driveline length, but otherwise it looks like a pretty easy job to adapt.

Just buy a PTO extender/adapter (Female to Male) ..... Agri Supply is where I got mine, I believe:

Female To Male PTO Adapter

That's what I did, but the Woods driveline (at least the one I got with my used chipper) is still too short for the QH.
Got mine at Tractor Supply,BTW.

For ElusiveThorn: The Woods 5000 (Bearcat) feeds 5" branches and small trees very nicely....you'll love that! Brush going into the shredder is pulled in amazingly fast! Beware of that and be careful!!
You'll want 20 PTO HP minimum and more works better. I run mine behind a 30 PTO HP Deere 4400.
