From what I have gathered John Deere stopped production of the Cool-Gard product in 2008 and replaced it with Cool-Gard II. My pre-2008 manual provides that Cool-Gard is used but given that only Cool-Gard II is available then obviously it will be Cool-Gard II to be used. However, my manual states that for coolant replacement of Cool-Gard I am to add JD Liquid Coolant Conditioner RE23182 to the coolant as this is a diesel engine. But, for Cool-Gard II is RE23182 to be added or is there another conditioner that is to be added for full replacement of coolant?

If I'm understanding the description of Cool-Gard ll nothing needs to be added for 6 yrs or 6000 hrs operation.
