I don't claim to be the brightest light on the Christmas tree, but I've been trying to see if the dealer gave me a good quote (10% - 15% off list, right?) on a 2320 with a couple attachments.

But I'm a little confused about configuring the 62D MMM. Let's see...it says:

Mower $2450

Then it says Attaching parts (Mechanical lift), I must have code 1001 ($346).

Then it says for independent lift, code 1001 and LVB25630 must be ordered.

So I click on Accessories.

First thing is Independent Lift Kit LVB25630 ($267), which, according to the fine print, requires LVB25620 Code 1001 Attaching Parts.

So a few lines down is the LVB25620, which says it is Attaching Parts for 2320 Mechanical Lift ($371).

So, do I have this right ----> If mechanical lift, I need attaching parts code 1001 and/or LVB25620. If so, why the $25 price difference ($346 vs $371?)

If independent lift, I need the Lift Kit LVB25630 ($267) which in turn also requires LVB25620, attaching parts for mechanical lift ($371).

So mechanical lift lists for $346 beyond what the mower costs.
Independent lift lists for $608 beyond what the mower costs.

Help me out here!!

Thanks!

It's clear as mud

anyway, you need the deck and attaching parts, 1001..
which totals $2796 list. If you want independant lift, then
you order the kit LVB25630 for the additional $267. That does
Not replace the attaching parts.

they show the attaching parts as a separate item if someone
where to need them as a loose kit not ordered with a deck.

got it?

Hi BGT
Welcome to TBN:)
If you order a deck with your tractor, you shouldn't have to pay anything extra for the mechanical lift,at least in my deal I didn't. That would be considered like a standard factory item. What did the dealer quote you on the deck? My 62D2 was 2,000.00.

The quote for mine was 2849, but I honestly can't recall if he said that was mechanical or independent lift. For the price, I'm sure it was independent.

Either way, sounds a little high to me. I'm getting a little more than 10% off on the tractor, but it is a 2009 with 4 hours showing, and some spots on the lift that look like they need touching up with a little paint - in fact some rust is showing already. I knew it had been sitting a while, only because the tach needle color had faded a bit. When I asked about a 2010 model, he said he would have to raise the price by about $400. I asked why, did something change? He said, yep, the price of materials continues to go up. It's the only 2320 on his lot, and he probably just wants to move it, who knows.

Thanks!

Dealer should be able to take at least 10% off the the deck and attachment as well. My first Jd 3720 was 18% off list and JD 4520 was 16% off list. That was also with all options, FEL ect and all were put on the machine at no additional cost. I realize that areas in the country differ on what they charge but near full list for the deck is a little steep when buying new tractor at same time.

When you take a percent off the configurator price, will there be an additional freight charge to worry about? Or does that price include freight to the dealer?

Can't speak for all dealers, but mine never said anything about a freight charge. The tractor is on the lot, but he said he would have to order the tiller - didn't mention freight charge.

However, we did hit a wall on the 0% 48 month financing:

He asked if I was interested in financing and I told him, Sure!!

He said, ok, I can give you 0% for 36 months.

I said, That isn't what JD's website says. Website says 0% for 48.

He says 0% for 48 costs him $400.

I said, OH, so you are gonna tack on $400 to the price you just quoted???

He says, Naw, how about we split the difference?

Well I didn't like the sound of that, so I called JD Credit and advised them of the conversation I had. They sided with the dealer, saying someone has to pay for that credit - it's either you or the dealer or both. So I guess I should feel lucky that he even offered to split the difference, huh? Guess it's true there is no free lunch - or free financing, either.
