I compared the 3430 and 1533 and bought the 1533. Fit and finish were better to me. Kubota was a little quieter. Massey controls, seat, and overall comfort were better in my opinion. Both operated smoothly. I performed the same tasks at dealer's yard with both machines, no difference. I was just more comfortable on the Massey. My opinion of Kubota is that they are good machines and bulletproof. My father has one, and I borrowed it often until I bought mine. Money was not enough difference to keep me off the Kubota, it was just slightly higher. There wasn't enough difference in specs to sway me either. The only way I would've gotten a different machine would've been to get an ag tractor, and they don't fit where I need to be sometimes.
I only found 1 task too big for the 1533, and I don't think a 3430 could've either. It was a 9' by 2 1/2' in diameter pecan stump. I had to cut 5' off and dig it up and move it.
