I have a pair of the old Cole Duplex planters, that have 2 side by side seed boxes and opposite turning seed plates. I'm thinking about seed corn in one hopper and pole beans in the other. Planted together in the same furrow. Beans should help shade out the weeds and grass, and corn provide trellis for the beans. Anybody ever try anything like this?
