Ran into my local dealer at a founders day social function.

He quoted me a price of $14,900 for an XJ 2025H with loader, and $1,500 less for the smaller MT with the quick attach bucket.

The front mount snow blower was quoted at $3,500.

Both tractors use the same attachments. Thought the XJ had more to offer IMHO.

Delivery was free.

Are these good prices?

TIA

They both sound about right, there might be a few other dealers that are maybe a couple hundred less, but they are much further away from you. Are they discounting the blower if you buy as a package? Might inquire about that.

If you are going primarily for snow blowing / FEL work, the 2025 is a bit heavier and would probably have more traction. FEL lift would be slightly higher and a bit more powerful. Both machines are similar HP and are great SCUTS.

Do you know much about the front mount snowblower for the MT? Also wondering how quick it connects, and does it connect to the loader?

The snowblower is more expensive than a similar Kubota for their B series.

There is a guy on the youtube that has some neat snow moving videos etc. Has a real nice cab set up on an XJ The blue tractor guy

It may be some inspiration. Enjoy the search.

I think your prices are reasonable.

There were times where I've been disappointing with the 2 range HST, I think the final drive is to high and the top speeds is to much for my applications, but My last tractors have all been gear with 3 range and I always putted around at low rpm in low range. After my last project of moving 200 yards of top soil, of which I ripped from the back corner of my lot using a subsoil ripper, rototiller to bust it up and the loader to scoop. I have to say I am impressed with the xj2025h and the HST made the dirt work so easy. In-fact after putting it to hard work for the last 100 hours, it feels broke in now and seems to have gotten stronger? or maybe I'm just more used to it. It has about 200 hours on it now, 50 of which were winter time/snow moving.

Anyways I haven't had any time to record any of my escapades for youtube... But these are great tractors and get lots of work done, just don't expect that of a larger tractor...

I just paid $15900 for a MT 125 with FEL and Backhoe so your prices are reasonable. My dealer said the only knock on the XJ compared to the MT was the time it took to remove the backhoe on the XJ was much higher.

I don't think thats true at all, I can drop the backhoe in under a minute. same with hooking it up.

To drop it, just put out the stabilizers and slightly lift it off the back of the tractor. release the pins and pull forward a few inches lower it to the ground. take care of the lines and away you go. I will say that I don't really like the sub-frame backhoes because they sit so low to the ground and are pretty massive... but they are just as fast to remove if you know what you are doing.
