Does anyone have a source for combination Cat I /Cat II lift pins? I saw an ad for them but didn't bookmark it and now I can't find it again.

Would that be the CAT I pin with the threaded end sized for a CAT II implement? If so, TSC has 'em. I've got dozens. (Bought 'em by the 5-gallon bucket at an auction a few years ago) Probably cheaper to go to TSC and get them, but if you can't find them, let me know (PM)

That would be plan 'B'. I'm looking for pins that are stepped down from cat II to cat I so that the implement can be used either way. My BIL has a cat II box blade that he rarely uses but won't allow me to change the pins to cat I for my tractor. If I can't find what I'm looking for I'll offer what you suggested with bushings to allow cat II usage.

I found a source once but failed to bookmark the site :(

Those would work, but the nearest dealer is in Australia. Thanks for the link though.

Would he allow you to drill another hole below the cat II pins to put cat I pins in facing in?

Buy one of the $69 Harbor Freight quick hitches. They mount on Cat 1 lift arms but accept Cat 2 pins. You'll have a quick hitch on your tractor for all of your implements too. ;)

If I understand what you are looking for you'll have to change the pins anyway to the dual diameter ones...does you BIL not want you to swap to Cat I when you use it then swap back to Cat II when he uses it:confused: Not very accomodating is he?:D

This might be what you are looking for-STEP PIN, CATAGORY 1 & 2 - Agri Supply

We have winner! That's what I'm looking for.

Not very accomodating is he?

He's the most generous guy I know and freely lets me use his implements whenever I need them, except for the box blade. More than likely, it's because he owns just a few cat II implements and he wants them available when he wants them without having to change the pins. He's agreed to let me put on combo pins if I could find them, which I have now done thanks to Skypup.

How about buying combination balls for his tractor. On the deere I use there are cat1 and cat 2 holes drilled in the lower lift balls. depending on what implement we are hooking up, just rotate the balls to the right size holes.
