Is anyone here on TBN affected by the Colorado Fire yesterday?

I saw some news video yesterday while it was active. It moved thru a grassy area faster than a man could run.

I heard this morning that one town lost 500 homes?

Sounded like Superior and Louisville were hit the hardest?

Prayers for these people. Prayers for the responders that will clear these burned home sites. Prayers that no human loss will be discovered.

I have family in Westminster and Broomfield and my cousin's kids have friends that lost their homes. It is strange how the fire would burn all the homes and not touch one in the middle. Just like that tornado storm did. The fire burned some very expensive realestate too. They are to get some snow and then it gets very cold. Many people do not have power either.

I watched a very good news report this morning. Reporter standing at the edge of the street reporting. Everything to his left was burned. Everything to his right was standing including pine trees. One house even had Christmas lights on.

My other cousin lives down wind of the fire and the odor is horrible. All the burned plastics, insulation, shingles, cars, etc.

They desperately need the snow to put out the smoldering fires.

One Reporter said the Fire Departments were driving around watering smoldering piles. I'm sure to prevent possible spread. But also to stop the emission of toxic smoke.

One report I read, the fire was started buy a downed power line blown over by 110mph winds. The wind driven fire consumed an area of a football field in seconds. It's a miracle that people escaped.

The lady news reporter said her Sister's house was lost. They only had time to grab some bottled water and a bag of oranges. She also said her and her husband own a business in a strip mall. They watched it burn on their security camera system....

My Son is visiting our family in Alamosa (south central) Colorado. Their power was off for a few hours yesterday as a result of power losses up North.

Here is drone footage of the damage. Notice most have basements and burned so hot to warp the steel I-beams.

My brother lost his house. Not a thing left. Him, his family, and dogs are all fine, but they literally have only what they are wearing and their vehicles. They will get through it, but a lot to process.
