Well here is the situation, recently purchased tractor with 240 hrs. serviced everything on 300 hr service and put tractor to work. at 275 hrs the temp gauge started to go to the cold side after tilling for 1 hr, tilled for another hr and gauge was running at the bottom. read forms and found some things to check and none have fixed the issue. ambient temp is 60-85 deg f when this is occuring. checked thermostat bleed off ball,no issue, checked the temp at thermostat housing after 15 minutes 160-170 deg F, ohmed the thermo switch when running and it ranges from 49.7 ohms - 54.6 ohms hot, checked voltage from thermo wire to thermo switch with tractor hot and voltage seemed alittle low (11.1 volts) Also checked main ground wires-ok. Also was told to ground wire from thermo switch to ground and check gauge, gauge went up to normal operating temp. From what I have said, does anyone have any ideas on what else to check?? Another question on the back of main cluster there is a dial pod, anyone have any ideas what this does?
Thanks in advance
Steve
