Tractor
Yan Mar Zennoh 1610D
A couple of months ago I started my tractor and it was about 25 degrees. I ran it for an hour but - NO hydraulic anything. No bucket, box tranny - nothing. I figured the screen was probably clogged up somehow and waited for spring. Well, last week I started it up and magically, everything works!! Any ides to WHY?

Thanks

I had the same problem. Mine was caused by water in the hydraulic fluid. When the temp dropped below freezing the fluid got so thick that it clogged the filter and no fluid could pass through. I removed the filter and there was a quarter inch layer of white tooth paste like material on the filter. Once the temp rose above freezing, the layer melted away and the filter was clear.

I had a Yanmar 1610D that did the same thing. You had to run it an hour in cold temps before the hydraulics would do anything. I cleaned the screen and replace the hydaulic fluid and it was fine.
