Cockshutt Model 30

There probably aren't too many Cockshutt owners around here. For those of you who don't know, Cockshutt was essentially the Canadian equivalant of Oliver tractors.

My father passed away Saturday... While looking at some old photographs, I found this one of him on a tractor I don't remember. It's dated from 1971, which was two years before I was born. I talked to Bob Skurka and Buckle97 and they helped identify the tractor for me... it's a Cockshutt model 30.

Great old pictures help ease the pain. A man and his tractor--almost up there with a man and his dog.

My Dad passed away about a year ago. One of my favorite pictures is of him on his Farmall Cub. I'll have to find it and post it. My sincere condolences on your loss.

Andy M...sorry to hear of the loss of your dad. I enjoyed the pic of him on the Cockshutt. I am familiar with the Cockshutt as my dad has two of them, a 30 like your dads and a Golden Arrow which only a few over a hundred were produced. Both tractors still run very well and are classics.

By the way...it looks like your dad is using his 30 for mowing. Cockshutt was possibly the first tractor manufactured to have a live power take off. Made mowing a whole lot easier from that point onward.
