I was told today that CNH plans on only building 35HP and greater tractors only. Is this true? Does this mean class I and class II compacts will be dropped or be relabeled LS models?
Curious minds want to know.

Neither CNH nor any of its predecessor companies has manufactured a tractor of 35 gross engine hp or less for probably 20-25 years. IH outsourced from Mitsubishi, Case wasn't in that market, and Ford sourced compacts from Shibaura from the late 1970's until the Ford name came off all equipment in 1999. CNH and Shibaura have recently severed their ties, and CNH has climbed in bed with LS, a Korean manufacturer who sells under their own brand as well as McCormick.

As for the future, nobody can predict what CNH will do, least of all anyone at the dealership level.

there was a letter passed around couple weeks ago that New Holland will outsource a tractor in the 20 -25 hp range to replace the 1025 Boomer. Tractor would come from LS and be available late fourth quarter 2011 or first quarter 2012. We will wait and see.
