I was told to cross post this potentially in the Massey Forum as the clutch parts are the same as the MF1233.

I want to know if the return bearing spring/slide looks like it's been connected right. If i push the bearing and slide towards the transmission/fork, the springs fall off. There is no other logical way to connect these that i can figure... this is the one thing i didn't get a photo of when i took it apart. the only other thing i could consider if the springs were stretched. I ever so slightly . There is about a half inch between the fork face and the slide contact point.
Is this going to hold? Maybe there is no mechanical reason the shaft should push in that direction (only forward or drag back by fork).
