Closeout on JD ATVs?

I know JD is getting out of the atv business and are closing the Buck series out. I am looking at getting a 650 EXT and was wandering what their past experience has been? I would appreciate any advice. Thanks

Really I thought 06 was their last year ? Anyway I'm pretty sure it's not much more then a rebadged bomardier so you can look up info on them and it will mostly transfer over.

The only thing JD about their ATV's was the name. The last I heard they were made by Bombardier. I owned a Bombardier Traxter 500cc for three years and they make a quality bike. I like the step through design, it had a liquid cooled engine that ran great and was very responsive and the traction was excellent.

Thanks Oleozz. Test drove a 650 EXT today. It's quite a beast at 807#. Not very nimble or maneuverable but lots of torque and speed. The long wheel base was very stable on hillsides too. Since I'll be using it mainly on open pasture I think it will be just the ticket. Did notice a slight clunk from the front end which I beleive is caused by the progressively locking 4 wheel drive system. All 3 units I test drove had it. Overall, at $5000 closeout price, I think it's a good deal.

I ride with a guy who has a 650. Good machine. Heavy, but otherwise good. They have awesome storage and are built by Bombardier. I'm quite sure the last year was 06. Our local dealer was sold out probably a good year ago. I do question resale though.
