Hello,
Would this implement work for gathering the rocks that pop up in my Horse sand arena into one area for shoveling?

Landscape Rakes, Category 1, 3 Point – Optional Bolt-On Wheels

I've seen some really expensive implements for people who do this for a living...but I only want to do my own arena. And the price on this one is in my range.

Thanks!
Stefan

PS I have a mid-size Kubota with a 3 point hitch, and a Kioti UTV.

Yes - it may take a few passes as the tines can dislodge the rocks under the surface too poping them up behind the rake, so you need to go round a few times to get them all. You can angle it to windrow the rocks then a straight pass to gather them into a pile.

I have that one and my main dislike is the lack of a kickstand under the front of it. It's not all that heavy but it is awkward to hook up. I ordered the gauge wheels with mine, but the wheels were bent out of true the tire bead broke free. I used it that way for a couple of years, but the wobbling wheels wore the tires out. I will be replacing the wheels before I use it again. All the other hardware for the gauge wheels was good though. "Some assembly is required", meaning it is a crate full of pieces requiring complete assembly. It is the least expensive one I could find and overall I'm satisfied with it.

I cleared one of my smaller fields - ~1 acre - by hand. I can vouch - most anything mechanical would be easier on the 'ol bod.

About 30 years ago I borrowed a brand X landscape rake from a friend. After bending and breaking a half dozen tines I gave up and bought an actual York Rake w/ guide wheels. I've lent it out a fair amount to some friends that are rather hard on equipment and had no issues. I also mount the rake to my FEL and clean out ditch banks and creeks.
That was a long time ago and I expect there are rakes comparable to York available, I just don't know who makes them. Quality isn't cheep. My rake costs almost $1800 new.
