I just had a piece of land cleared by an excavator - this left a lot of brush and roots buried just below the surface (0-10"). I want to seed it for pasture for our horses. I went over the area with a land (York) rake but this didn't get deep enough to clean it up. I'm wondering if the Harley Rake would do the job on these roots like it does on rocks? Will it rip out the buried brush? I can rent one for $220/ day on a Skidsteer with a bucket.

I have used the Harley Rake and I don't think it will work to rip out the roots, unless they are loose. If they are still attached, it won't grab them.
